Taekwondo Australia - Tasmania Inc. was formed in 1997. The formation of this incorporated body heralded the amalagamation of all WTF Taekwondo Clubs in the State into one body to form the State Division of Taekwondo Australia Inc..

Taekwondo Australia Inc is a non-profit body committed to development of our Australian Taekwondo athletes, helping them reach their highest potential to represent Australia with distinction and with encouraging Taekwondo as both a high performance sport and a sport for all.

If you are studying a martial art, or if you are thinking of starting in any of the many and varied martial arts, then there are a few questions that you need to ask of your Instructor.

  • Are you qualified to teach me and where did your qualifications come from?

Many styles of Martial Arts are break away groups from their original style and any qualifications achieved through these groups are frequently not recognized once you walk out the door.

  • Do you hold a Coaching Qualification?

All Martial Arts Instructors should hold at a minimum a Coaching qualification - request to see it. Taekwondo Australia runs its own coaching courses for level one and two coaches as part of its national wide training program.

  • Do you have any Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance?
  • Is there participation insurance for me?
  • Will I be insured while I am training? - ask to see the policy

  • Do you have any First Aid qualifications? I need to know that if I hurt myself you know what to do

fight
